Ben Klein leads Invariant’s health care and energy practice groups, capitalizing on more than a decade of experience working on Capitol Hill and in the nonprofit sector crafting public policy solutions and building coalitions. He helps our clients navigate the seemingly impossible, from regulatory threats to their industry to expanding the marketplace for new products. At a time when many thought nothing was happening in Washington, Ben led the effort to pass legislation to modernize the Veteran Administration's medical scheduling system, advance workplace wellness initiatives, accelerate the phase-out of newly produced refrigerants, block a regulation that would jeopardize domestic uranium production, and save the Sumatran Rhino.
Ben was legislative director for former Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND). He also was a lobbyist for the American Cancer Society, where he managed a coalition of more than 45 organizations, and for the American Heart Association, where he helped draft and pass legislation to improve health outcomes.
Ben earned his BA and MPH from the George Washington University.
