Megan Capiak is chief of staff to Invariant’s founder and CEO Heather Podesta. Working at the intersection of policy, communications, and technology, her experience in hyper-growth startups and established corporations as well as on Capitol Hill, give her insight into how to navigate the priorities and pressures companies face against an ever-changing political backdrop.
Megan joined Invariant from Salesforce, where she was a program manager of global public policy and responsible for overseeing operations, branding, and events for the Washington, D.C. office. Prior to joining Salesforce, Megan was one of the first policy and communications team hires at Uber. She operated in a variety of roles within the company, overseeing the establishment of global processes and helping leadership operate more strategically. She ultimately led communications for several states in the Midwest, in which she served as Uber’s primary spokesperson. Additionally, she worked as a staff assistant for both the Republican staff of the House Energy and Commerce Committee and Congressman Fred Upton (R-MI).
Megan graduated from Michigan State University. She serves on the Corporate Leadership Council at College to Congress and is a member of Meridian International Center’s Global Leadership Council.
