Robert Hoffman directs Invariant’s technology practice, leveraging more than 25 years of public policy experience at the state, federal, and international levels. He guides clients with an eye on the top and bottom lines and serves as a key counselor on corporate social responsibility and philanthropic programs.
With a track record of building and leading advocacy teams, including at Oracle, Cognizant, and Motorola Solutions, Robert’s well-earned reputation as an expert on technology policy issues regularly lands him on CNN, MSNBC, PBS, and NPR. His communications experience was honed while running the advocacy operation for the Information Technology Industry Council, a trade association of more than 50 world-leading high-tech companies.
Robert worked as policy advisor and speechwriter for four U.S. Senators and California Governor Pete Wilson. He was legislative director for former Senators Larry Pressler (R-SD) and Mike DeWine (R-OH).
Robert received his BA from UCLA and earned his Master’s degree from the University of Maryland School of Public Policy.
