Senior Republican strategist Sean Joyce brings nearly a decade of policy, campaign, and crisis communications expertise to Invariant. Having recently left Capitol Hill as chief of staff for Chief Deputy Whip Patrick McHenry (R-NC), Sean provides counsel to clients on strategic engagement with a Republican Congress and Trump Administration. He works across Invariant practice groups, with a focus on financial services, transportation, and defense policy issues.
Sean directed day-to-day operations for McHenry, vice chairman of the Financial Services Committee, while overseeing the nexus where politics and policy meet communications and outreach. Prior to his time with McHenry, Sean held a variety of senior staff positions for Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (R-PA), including legislative director, communications director, national security advisor, and campaign manager.
Sean graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and earned his Master’s degree from the Naval War College.
